Today ApartmentRatings.com launched a new Discussions tab on their site. Instead of being a place to give details about specific apartment communities, Discussions is meant to be a section of the site where people can discuss aspects of living in different cities, neighborhoods, legal questions, and other issues. For a while now, I’ve been quite impressed with the traffic and activity on the forums of City-Data.com and it appears that ApartmentRatings would like to emulate that social aspect on their site. Social is one of the hottest trends on the web today and I think it’s a very shrewd move.
